Happy New Year! We know it’s not always easy for children (or parents) to stay up until midnight on New Year’s Eve. Here are some fun ways for the little ones to enjoy the festivities of the holiday without staying up past bedtime.

Enjoy live music, create your own noisemaker, grab a bag of confetti, and get ready for the confetti cannon blasts at 12 NOON!

The Riverfront Development Corporation and City of Wilmington present the 2nd annual New Year’s Eve Family Fun Night. Enjoy a night of food, music, and fireworks on the Christina Riverfront.

Visit the Please Touch Museum before nap time for a New Year’s Eve celebration including live music, special activities, a countdown performance, and a traditional NYE ball drop. The museum opens at 9am, ball drops will occur at 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Tickets available online or at the museum.

Celebrate an early Kids’ New Year’s Eve Countdown in Franklin Square. The celebration will include craft-making from 3-6pm, the “Square Drop”, and the SugarHouse Fireworks at 6 pm. Following the Square Drop, the indoor Franklin Square Pavilion will host a special Kids’ Dance Party.
